Dr. Monica Brar, who fortunately joined our staff in the fall of 2004, is well known in the medical community, having retired from a flourishing obstetrics and gynecology practice. She excelled in her medical training at the Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, where she was a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She then pursued the diverse and challenging field of Ob/Gyn at the esteemed USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital program.

She is committed to the field of Phlebology, having received instruction from leaders in the field of phlebology from all over the nation. Since entering the field she has been recognized on a national level, being invited to be an expert speaker at meetings of the American College of Phlebology. She is devoted to providing her patients with the best care available, both from a medical and a personal perspective.

After graduation, she relocated to Walnut Creek and successfully practiced for eight busy years. During that time she was one of the most sought-after local Ob/Gyn physicians, being very well-trained, thorough, dedicated and compassionate. Throughout those years, she repeatedly had patients complain of troublesome varicose and spider veins. As there were no women physicians in the area specializing in the treatment of this all too common problem, it seemed like a natural progression for her to transition to this field.

Samantha Ellis, MD is a Board Certified medical and cosmetic dermatologist. Dr. Ellis graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors of Science in Biology from the University of California, Los Angeles. She was awarded the Dean’s Merit Scholarship to attend the University of Michigan Medical School, where she completed her medical doctorate and was inducted into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society for exceptional academic performance and leadership in her program.

After finishing her medical internship in Denver, Colorado, she returned to her home state of California to complete her dermatology residency at the University of California, Davis. Dr. Ellis has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and authored several medical textbook chapters on a broad range of dermatology topics including cutaneous immunology, dermatologic surgery, cosmeceuticals, and skin aging. She also volunteers her time as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology at UC Davis.

As a Physician Assistant in Dermatology I am extremely fortunate to have a career that instills continued learning as well as the advancement of clinical and surgical skills.

I am grateful to work in an office with wonderful patients and coworkers.

My goal is to make each patient feel truly heard and to make their experience in our office a positive one.

Stachia Bailey, RN

Registered Nurse, Danville CA

Passion is what separates extraordinary from average. I always wanted to be in the medical field to help patients. Becoming an RN put me in that position. I became passionate when I was exposed to dermatology. I love to wake up every morning knowing that our patients will be looking and feeling better after their visit and that I helped make that happen.

Education / Licensure

  • BS – Nursing, Samuel Merritt University, Oakland, CA
  • Licensed by the State of California Board of Registered Nursing

Good things come to those who commit. I committed my career to Dr. Potozkin and Dr. Brar in 2006 when I was hired as a part-time file clerk while getting my degree. In 2008 I graduated with a BSN and began my professional career as an RN. Through the years I developed expertise in lasers and light-based treatments, chemical peels, and microdermabrasion procedures. Now as a provider, I see my own schedule of patients, under Dr. Potozkin’s supervision.

Daily I strive to build strong relationships with each of my patients. Through anticipatory service, I hope to fulfill your expressed and unexpressed needs. I promise to seek opportunities to innovate and improve your experience with us.

When I’m not in the office, I take care of my three little dogs, get lost in a good book or spend time with my family at the Russian River.

I thank you for allowing me to care for you.
