Dr. Monica Brar, who fortunately joined our staff in the fall of 2004, is well known in the medical community, having retired from a flourishing obstetrics and gynecology practice. She excelled in her medical training at the Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, where she was a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She then pursued the diverse and challenging field of Ob/Gyn at the esteemed USC Women’s and Children’s Hospital program.
She is committed to the field of Phlebology, having received instruction from leaders in the field of phlebology from all over the nation. Since entering the field she has been recognized on a national level, being invited to be an expert speaker at meetings of the American College of Phlebology. She is devoted to providing her patients with the best care available, both from a medical and a personal perspective.
After graduation, she relocated to Walnut Creek and successfully practiced for eight busy years. During that time she was one of the most sought-after local Ob/Gyn physicians, being very well-trained, thorough, dedicated and compassionate. Throughout those years, she repeatedly had patients complain of troublesome varicose and spider veins. As there were no women physicians in the area specializing in the treatment of this all too common problem, it seemed like a natural progression for her to transition to this field.
