The VBeam laser is a vascular laser used to treat broken capillaries, red spots known as hemangiomas, Rosacea, Scars and warts. We also use this to minimize bruising that sometimes occurs with injectable fillers. The technology was originally invented to treat vascular birthmarks known as port wine stains. The technology is safe enough to use on newborn skin. The VBeam utilizes a wavelength of light that is selectively absorbed by structures in the skin that are red. We can therefore, target those structures without damaging other structures in the skin.

The treatment typically feels like a cold wet stinging sensation. For most treatments no anesthetic is required. However, more extensive treatments may require a numbing topical or a local anesthetic. Treatment times can last anywhere from a few seconds to several minutes. After the treatment some people will have some swelling or minor bruising. For many this can be a no “downtime” procedure.

It is crucial to receive this treatment from a licensed medical professional, such as Dr. Potozskin or Dr. Ellis, to ensure safe and effective treatment. For more information on the VBeam laser or to schedule an appointment, please don’t hesitate to contact us today at (925) 838-4900!
