Red and brown spots got you down?

Do you want to improve your skin texture and reduce the appearance of age spots, sun damage, pigmentation, redness, or veins, but don’t want an invasive procedure? We may have the perfect solution for you here at PotozkinMD Skincare Center.

What is a FotoFacial?

FotoFacial is a noninvasive procedure that involves the use of intense pulsed light (IPL) to treat problematic sunspots, pigmentation, and fine lines and wrinkles. It can also be used to treat redness and rosacea. This treatment works to rejuvenate the appearance, texture, and condition of your skin. FotoFacials can be applied to different areas of the body such as the face, neck, hands, and chest. Because of the great results we get, and the fact that there is minimal to no downtime, the FotoFacial is the most popular skin rejuvenation treatment in our office.

How does it work?

At PotozkinMD Skincare Center, we work with you to individualize your treatment plan to your desires and your skin’s needs. Before the procedure, the treatment area is cleansed and a topical numbing cream is applied so the treatment is comfortable. The IPL handpiece is gently applied onto the surface of the skin and the light pulses are activated.

The procedure usually lasts 30 minutes, depending on the size of the treated area. Multiple procedures are usually required at 3-week intervals to achieve the patient’s desired result. After completing treatment, touch-ups may be required annually for maintenance.

Results

FotoFacials are effective at dramatically decreasing skin discoloration and splotchiness. Patients also notice a reduction in redness or flushing of rosacea, diminished hyperpigmentation and freckling, as well as minimized appearance of pores.

It is important to protect your skin from the sun following treatment and to use products designed for sensitive skin for a week before returning to your normal skincare routine.

If your goal this year is to have healthier, younger-looking, clear skin, a FotoFacial may be right for you.
