CoolTone

CoolToneAt PotozkinMD Skincare Center, we understand that even with the most rigorous fitness regimens, it is common for people to experience a roadblock and feel as though nothing is working. Sometimes patients have areas that appear to be resistant to improvement and seek surgical options to get their desired appearance. But what if there was a non-surgical option to help firm and tone those stubborn areas?

What is CoolTone?

CoolTone is an FDA approved body contouring procedure designed to help patients achieve a more toned, firm, and defined appearance in trouble areas such as the buttocks, thighs, and abdomen. There is no surgery, anesthesia, pain medication, or recovery time.

You may have heard of CoolSculpting which helps to remove stubborn deposits of fat by freezing them off and wonder how CoolTone differs. While both treatments are from the same manufacturer, they are two different non-surgical body contouring procedures. CoolSculpting safely freezes and kills fat cells, while CoolTone works to increase muscle tone, strength, and definition. These two treatments can be done simultaneously to maximize both fat reduction and muscle tone. It is important to note that neither treatment option is a solution for weight loss.

How does CoolTone work?

Intended to tone, strengthen, and firm your muscles, CoolTone utilizes Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS) to penetrate beneath skin and fat cells to target your muscles. This electric stimulation causes the muscles to have involuntary contractions. The frequency and intensity of these contractions are far greater than what can be achieved with the most intense exercise regimens. These contractions cause muscle fibers to strengthen, improving the condition and appearance of the muscles.

What kind of results will I see?

Most patients require a series of treatments depending on the desired outcome. Most patients will see results as soon as three weeks after treatment. However, the most dramatic results will occur 2-4 months following treatment.

Does CoolTone hurt?

As mentioned above, CoolTone is a non-invasive, non-surgical procedure that does not hurt or require any downtime. Most patients may feel mild soreness similar to that of a strength-training workout that should subside within a few days. Following immediate treatment, patients can return to their normal routine and activities.
