Jerome Potozkin , M.D. is not only a board certified dermatologist, he is also specially trained in the art and science of dermatological surgery. He completed his residency in dermatology at the renowned NYU Skin & Cancer Unit, and is a member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery. A clinical instructor at the UC San Francisco Medical Center, Dr. Jerome Potozkin is also a preceptor for Lumenis Medical, training physicians from all over the world in advanced laser techniques.
At our offices, we pride ourselves on maintaining the most effective and up-to-date technology. Dr. Monica Brar MD
Dr. Monica Brar, who fortunately joined our staff in the fall of 2004, is well known in the medical community, having retired from a flourishing obstetrics and gynecology practice. She excelled in her medical training at the Louisiana State University Medical School in New Orleans, where she was a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. She then pursued the diverse and challenging field of Ob/Gyn at the esteemed USC Women's and Children's Hospital program.
After graduation, she relocated to Walnut Creek and successfully practiced for eight busy years. During that time she was one of the most sought after local Ob/Gyn physicians, being very well-trained, thorough, dedicated and compassionate. Throughout those years, she repeatedly had patients complain of troublesome varicose and spider veins. As there were no women physicians in the area specializing in the treatment of this all too common problem, it seemed like a natural progression for her to transition to this field.
She is committed to the field of phlebology, having received instruction from leaders in the field of phleblogy from all over the nation. Since entering the field she has been recognized on a national level, being invited to be an expert speaker at meetings of the American College of Phlebology. She is devoted to providing her patients with the best care available, both from a medical and a personal perspective.
Heather M. Nudo, MPA, PA-C
Heather Nudo became the perfect addition to our team after we welcomed her in 2006. Our patients find her to be warm, approachable, and highly skilled at her job. Heather is dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare. She believes in taking time with her patients and caring for their concerns. Heather received her Master's degree from Samuel Merritt College. Formerly, she graduated with Honors from the University of Arizona where she received her Bachelor of Science degree.
Her earnest interest in dermatology has resulted in a loyal following not only because of her outstanding professional skills, but also her commitment and dedication to each and every patient. Her patients frequently comment on how pleased they are with the care and treatment they receive and how genuinely compassionate she is toward their well-being and needs. Honorable, honest and loyal, Heather will certainly earn your respect and trust at your very first meeting.
Amanda L. Dick, MPA, PA-C
Amanda Dick is the newest addition to our practice, joining our team in 2011. Originally from Illinois, she received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Natural Sciences and Health Management from Bethel College in North Newton, KS. Amanda received her Master's in Physician Assistant Studies from Samuel Merritt University, and is happy to call the Bay Area her home.
Her positive, spirited demeanor and genuine desire to provide quality and honest healthcare to all of her patients has been very well received. Amanda is a compassionate, committed, skilled provider and works with each patient to meet her/his individual needs and goals. Her primary areas of interest include medical, surgical, and pediatric dermatology. She looks forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your best health and wellness.
Additionally, Amanda has been certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants, is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, California Academy of Physician Assistants, Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, and is licensed by the State of California Department of Consumer Affairs.
