CoolTouch® Laser (non-ablative acne scar treatment)

CoolTouch® technology rejuvenates the face by stimulating the growth of collagen in the skin. It reduces or delays the signs of aging, diminishes acne scarring and improves skin texture. CoolTouch is unique because it delivers a cooling spray before, during and after the laser procedure, increasing patient comfort. In addition, CoolTouch can be used on many patients whose skin pigmentation or severe scarring cannot be helped with other lasers. Results can be seen as soon as the second or third treatment. You should notice a definite improvement within the first few months. The length of therapy depends on the patient's preferences and the severity of the problem being treated. Laser Tattoo Removal

Many people have second thoughts about their tattoos. Fortunately, you don't have to live with your decision forever. The VersaPulse® laser can lighten or remove your tattoo by pulsing light on the ink particles. This then converts the energy to heat and breaks up the ink into tiny pieces that are absorbed harmlessly by the body. All this can be accomplished without damaging the surrounding tissue.

Other lasers emit a light beam of only one color of light. This meant that doctors sometimes needed as many as four different lasers to treat multicolored tattoos. With the VersaPulse® Laser we can treat the full spectrum of tattoo ink, even the most stubborn green ink.

The treatments are done in the office with either topical anesthetic or local anesthesia or a combination of both to make you feel comfortable. When you leave the office you will be given instructions on how to take care of the area. The number of treatments is dependent on the complexity of the individual's tattoo. VersaPulse® Laser

The VersaPulse® system from Lumenis™ combines four lasers in one to provide effective treatment for a variety of benign skin lesions and tattoos. VersaPulse offers the benefits of three Q-switched lasers and a YAG laser, allowing us to treat many pigmented lesions (freckles, moles, brown/age spots), vascular lesions (spider veins, varicose veins, rosacea, broken blood vessels), stretch marks, and tattoos of all colors. Unlike older lasers and other treatment methods that burst blood vessels and leave bruising for weeks, the VersaPulse system seals off the vessels, causing only a mild redness or flaking in some patients.
